Who we are
SteadyRun is a small personal training-coach application run by its author for himself and a few invited people. You can reach us at steadyrun@geq.me.
What information we access
- Account details you give us: your name, email address, age, sex, time zone, training goals and preferences, and notes you write about your workouts.
- Google Health data (read-only), only if you connect it: your sleep sessions and stages, daily resting heart rate, heart-rate variability, and recorded exercise sessions. We do not write to Google Health.
- Google Calendar access, only if you connect it: permission to create, update and delete the workout events that SteadyRun adds to your primary calendar. SteadyRun does not read or change your other events.
- Garmin Connect data, only if you connect it (not from Google): your completed workouts.
How we use it
We use this information only to provide the features you see in the app: building and adjusting your weekly training plan, showing your training and recovery charts, and placing your planned workouts on your calendar and watch. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it.
Who else receives it
- Hosting: your data is stored in a database on a private server operated by the author. It is not published anywhere.
- AI coaching text: to write the coach's plan and suggestions, a summary of your training and recovery (for example, last night's sleep length compared with your average, workouts, and your notes) is sent to the OpenAI API. It is used only to generate your coaching text.
- We do not share your data with anyone else, except where the law requires it.
Google user data
SteadyRun's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data obtained from Google is used only to provide and improve the user-facing features described above. It is not used to develop, improve or train generalized AI or machine-learning models, is not used for advertising, and is not read by people except with your consent, for security or abuse investigation, or to comply with law.
How we protect it
Google and Garmin sign-in tokens are stored encrypted. Access to the application requires a password. The public web pages you are reading are static and hold no personal data.
Retention and deletion
You can disconnect Google at any time in the app (Settings), which revokes SteadyRun's access and deletes the stored Google sign-in. You can also remove SteadyRun's access from your Google Account permissions page. To delete your account and all data we hold about you, email steadyrun@geq.me and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date above.
